Child Development Program

The goal of the Child Development program is to provide a safe and nurturing environment where mothers and children receive support to meet their needs. The program aims to introduce consistant routines, schedules and non-violent conflict resolution in order to enhance life skills, recognize self-worth and realize individual potential.

The Child Development program provides:

  • 3 week programming for children currently in-shelter
  • Emergency child development services
  • Programming to children while parents attend support groups
  • Parenting classes
  • Support groups for children who have experienced abuse
  • Development testing for children
  • Follow-up services for children
  • Home visits
