Waypoints' Sexual Assault & Abuse Program provides client support and advocacy, counselling, and education to children, women and men in the Wood Buffalo Region. Services are free of charge and are open to all people, regardless of ethnic heritage, faith, gender, culture, age, or sexual orientation.

Services & Programs:

  • 24 Hour Crisis Line
    • for anyone affected by sexual violence. Call anytime if you need support. 780-791-6708
  • Emotional support (individual and group sessions available)
    • for families, friends and survivors dealing with sexual assault
    • support group for adults sexually abused as children
  • Client Advocacy
    • for clients wanting support with meetings involving court, hospital, and RCMP
    • provide clothing to women that release their clothes to RCMP for evidence
  • Educational Groups
    • AMAC (Adults Molested As Children)
    • Child Sexual Abuse Safety
    • Sexting, Healthy Relationships & Age of Consent
    • First Responder to Sexual Assault
    • Parents groups (child care available)
  • Sexual Assault Information Sessions
    • For individuals, community, schools, and professionals
  • Referrals to appropriate community services
